Weleda pomegranate oil

Nourishing oils can be extremely helpful in body skin care, and even just as an occasional replacement for the moisturizing lotion, cream, or milk you use daily. Whether you use it alone or with a lotion or cream, the oil gives the skin a healthy glow and reduces its dryness.
It is applied to damp skin after showering to retain moisture in it, and if you pair it with lotion or cream, the oil is used as a final step that “locks in” moisture from the product you previously applied. Today’s body oils are lighter in texture and absorb quickly, so after using them you can get dressed quickly without fear of greasy stains on your clothes.
I recently tried one such body care oil, and that is Weleda regenerative pomegranate oil.
Weleda is a German-Swiss company that produces certified natural cosmetics that include sustainability, fair trade, conservation of natural resources, and procures raw materials from biodynamic production or proven purchase of wild ingredients.

I am satisfied with both Weleda products, and this restorative oil did not disappoint me either.
Weleda regenerative pomegranate oil, according to the manufacturer, protects against free radicals and stimulates the renewal of skin cells and strengthens it. At Weleda, they point out that they carefully press pomegranate seeds to produce an oil known for its beneficial effects on the skin.
In addition to pomegranate oil, Weleda’s regenerating oil also contains jojoba, sesame, sunflower and macadamia oils, which intensively nourish and maintain skin moisture, blending with fresh-fruity, sweet notes of orange, davana and vanilla.
Pomegranate oil has long been valued for its powerful rejuvenating properties. It helps retain moisture in the skin and reduces visible signs of aging and dry skin, making it soft, smooth and supple.
Benefits of pomegranate seed oil (Punica granatum) on the skin
This valuable vegetable oil has antioxidant properties that promote skin regeneration and is therefore considered an excellent product for the care of dry, mature and stressed skin. Pomegranate seed oil is rich in rare punic acid and other unsaturated fatty acids, which help make the skin look more hydrated and fuller and improve elasticity and its regeneration. In addition, the oil can nourish and soften dry, chapped skin, and can also help relieve redness and flaking.
Pomegranate has regenerative, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-aging properties, which allow for elastic and radiant skin.
anti-aging action
Based on its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties, pomegranate seed oil has an anti-aging effect (fights free radicals and smoothes wrinkles).
skin hydration and anti-inflammatory action
Thanks to its anti-inflammatory action, pomegranate seed oil has been shown to be effective in relieving redness or caring for dry, flaky skin, thanks to its high concentration of omega-6 fatty acids, oleic acid, linoleic acid and palmitic acid. With its unique molecular structure, pomegranate seed oil can penetrate deep into the skin and hair for intense hydration.
soothes scars and brightens the skin
improves the effectiveness of SPF
Pomegranate seed oil could facilitate our daily sun protection efforts. According to some studies, sunscreen has been found to be 20% more effective when mixed with pomegranate seed oil, and its anti-inflammatory properties will also help the skin recover from sun damage. However, pomegranate oil alone will not provide adequate protection from the sun.
firmer and more elastic skin
As we age, collagen levels are depleted, causing our skin to lose firmness. Collagen is a key building block in our skin that provides both structure and elasticity, but our body’s natural reserves are limited.
Fortunately, the use of pomegranate seed oil can slow down the aging process, and improve the overall firmness and elasticity of the skin. This is achieved thanks to the supply of punicic and linoleic acid, and a number of other antioxidants improve circulation and brighten the skin. One study even showed that pomegranate seed oil can improve collagen levels.
