Garnier micellar water for sensitive skin, according to the manufacturer, gently removes makeup, cleanses and soothes the skin in one step. The bottle is marked No. 1 (number 1) micellar water. This calculation is based on the sales results conducted for L’Oréal by the Nielsen agency in 28 countries according to the value and volume participation in the micellar water category over a period of 52 weeks.
Micelles in micellar solutions collect impurities and leave the skin perfectly clean.
They state that it is not necessary to rub the eyes and mouth to remove make-up, but the pad soaked in the micellar solution is only briefly applied to the desired area and removed. They point out that the amount of 400 milliliters in a pack is enough for 200 uses.
Garnier micellar water is dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested and does not contain perfumes. Fragrance-free products are my first choice because my skin is sensitive and I don’t like to apply products that contain them.
The list of ingredients is relatively short, which is good for sensitive skin, but it should also be carefully selected.
Aqua / Water, Hexylene glycol, Glycerin, Poloxamer 184, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Disodium EDTA, Myrtrimonium bromide (F.I.L B231449 / 0).
The ingredient Disodium EDTA according to some sources may represent a potential irritant and allergen, and Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate is a surfactant, i.e. a foaming agent. Myrtrimonium bromide is a preservative.
Most micellar solutions have a very similar composition, in principle, they do not differ much. Some manufacturers omit perfume, some add plant extract, but the base of all micellar waters is the same. They are practical solutions, but I would always prefer to wash my face with oil or facial cleansing balm.
Garnier micellar water removes make-up well, but I still had to rub my eyes a bit to thoroughly remove the mascara. Since it leaves a “film” on my facial skin, I eventually had to rinse it off with water. When I shook it, it foamed considerably, which confirms that it contains a considerable amount of surfactant, i.e. foam.
Since this is not a pharmaceutical brand, this micellar water is among the best quality you can find in drugstores in terms of composition and effect. The price-quantity ratio is excellent, which is a crucial factor when choosing or buying this micellar solution.
