LRP Anthelios spf 50+ shaka ultra light fluid

La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF 50+ fluid is extremely light, liquid and transparent in texture, intended for sensitive and sun-allergic skin. According to the manufacturer, it is resistant to water, sand and sweat, and what is very important to me, it does not irritate the eyes. It is non-sticky and non-greasy in texture and does not leave a greasy film and white marks on the skin. I applied it to the skin of the face, returning the décolleté and the back. As pointed out on the official website of LRP, this fluid provides protection from UVA and UVB rays and pollution with an optimal SPF 50+. Of all the products from the Anthelios line, this fluid provides the highest UVA protection.
Contains the following filters:
ETHYLHEXYLSALICYLATE OR OCTISALATE is an oily, yellowish liquid that protects against UVB radiation (280 – 320 nm) and improves the solubility and stability of other filters (eg avobenzone) with which it is used in combination for more complete protection. Thanks to its structure, it contributes to the waterproof and emollient properties of the product, and according to available data from the application aspect, it has a relatively good safety profile, although there are indications of possible endocrine disruptor activity and adverse impact on aquatic ecosystems.
ETHYLHEXYLTRIAZONE OR OCTYLTRIAZONE is a colorless, odorless, liposoluble powder that, as a “new generation” chemical filter, provides photostable protection against UVB radiation, and thanks to the mentioned properties, it is suitable for fragrance-free and waterproof formulas.
BIS-ETHYLHEXYLOPHENOL METHOXIPHENYL TRIAZINE OR TINOSORB S is a photostable “new generation” chemical filter, with a broad spectrum of action (UVA and UVB radiation; 280 – 400 nm) which stabilizes other filters with which it is used in combination.
BUTYL METHOXIDIBENZOYL METHANE OR AVOBENZONE is globally the most widely used UVA chemical filter, which provides good protection against the entire UVA spectrum (310 – 400 nm), but is photostable, so it must be combined with stabilizers or encapsulated.
DROMETRIZOLE TRISILOXAN OR MEXORYL XL is an exclusive, photostable L’OREAL broad-spectrum filter (UVA + UVB) present on the market since 1999. Some studies suggest endocrine disruptor activity and toxicity to aquatic organisms.
ECAMSULE (terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid) OR MEXORYL SX is another exclusive, very photostable, water-soluble L’OREAL UVA filter that works in synergy with MEXORYL XL, and according to available data, due to very low percutaneous, good systemic absorption security profile.
The fluid contains innovative polymers that provide a non-greasy and long-lasting texture, glycerin that hydrates the skin and XL PROTECT (MEXORYL SX and MEXORYL XL) L’oreal’s patented broad-spectrum protective filter. High on the list of ingredients is denatured alcohol, which is usually added to products to make the texture lighter, to make certain ingredients easier to penetrate the skin and as a preservative. I believe it was added here to create a light texture.
Ingredients: Aqua, Water, Alcohol Denat., Diisopropyl Sebacate, Silica, Isopropyl Myristate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Glycerin, C12-22 Alkyl Acrylate/hydroxyethylacrylate Copolymer, Propanediol, Drometrizole Trisiloxane, Perlite, Tocopherol, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Acrylates/c10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Terephthalylidene Dicamphor Sulfonic Acid, Triethanolamine, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate (F.I.l. C227022/1).
Some of the claims related to this fluid were also confirmed by a study conducted on 36 women and 7 men between the ages of 22 and 62 on all skin types. She showed that when applied:
– does not leave white marks on the skin 98%
– does not grease the skin 81%
– gives a feeling of lightness on the skin 88%.
What immediately attracted me at first was the packaging, just enough to put in a purse in the morning and apply to the skin during the day as needed. The texture is very light, watery so you have to hurry to smear the fluid so it doesn’t slip off your face. It does not “choke” the skin, it is non-sticky and works great with the make-up that follows. It protected me well from the sun during the day. I will be able to conclude later if alcohol has dried out my skin due to alcohol in the second place on the list of ingredients. I think anyone with combination and oily skin will be happy if they choose this protection because it won’t shine and won’t further close pores. It didn’t irritate my eyes and when the cream does that, it’s an automatic deal breaker for me and I give it up. Since there is no perfume in the composition, there is no scent. As stated on the package, shake or shake before use.
