Glow Recipe Watermelon 3in1 lip balm

GLOW RECIPE is an American brand based on Korean cosmetic principles that, as in this product, combines fruit extracts with active ingredients such as acids. GLOW RECIPE LIP POP lip balm removes dead skin cells, hydrates the lips, nourishes them and gives them color. It contains watermelon extract and cold-pressed oil of its seeds, which intensively hydrates and “locks” moisture. AHA acids obtained from flowers smooth the lips without making them photosensitive. Coconut sugar is a mechanical exfoliator that gently removes dead skin cells and dissolves on the lips immediately after application.
I have to admit that bright pink turned me off at first (shade: watermelon pink) because I don’t like bright pink tones of lipsticks, however after I applied it in one coat, it blended perfectly with the natural shade of my lips, giving them just a rosy shine. Depending on how many coats you apply, the color shade will be just as intense. The balm provides shine and acts like a lip gloss. The smell is fruity, like real watermelon. The texture is grainy, ie crumbs of sugar will first polish the lips and then melt, leaving shiny and colored lips. The balm is not sticky, but is compact and durable on the lips.

The disadvantages of this product are that it contains perfume, paints and silicones. Although there is no alcohol that could dry out my lips, I had a need for frequent application. Although at first glance it is “cute” and the design is more suitable for teenage girls, the packaging is quite modest for an expensive brand. It wears out quickly and after only two weeks of regular application I spent more than half. The shade of color is too intense for my taste, but that doesn’t have to mean anything considering I rarely apply lipstick or choose those nude shades. For people with sensitive lips, granular sugar exfoliation could be too harsh.
The company does not test the products on animals and does not contain ingredients of animal origin.
