Drunk Elephant natural hair care

As I started washing my hair at home almost regularly at the time of the pandemic, I researched the offer of natural care products (sulfate-free, SLS, silicone and cruelty free) to use this age of the crown for more careful hair care.
When looking for clean products it is almost impossible to avoid the Drunk Elephant brand. In 2020, Drunk Elephant launched a scalp and hair care line that was developed in collaboration with professional hair stylist – and creator of the famous hairstyle Jennifer Aniston, the so-called “The Rachel” from the TV series Friends – Chris McMillan.
Drunk Elephant products nourish the scalp and hair with biocompatible proteins and oils and do not contain sulfates, silicones, essential oils, fragrances, dyes and drying alcohol.
Cocomino ™ Glossing shampoo (cleanses and balances the pH of the scalp)
Drunk Elephant shampoo, according to the manufacturer, contains soothing and strengthening proteins and extracts that help prevent water loss from the hair and give it smoothness and shine. At the same time, they act as a protective agent against various heat sources. Antioxidants and Inca oils of walnuts, lettuce and argan, which are rich in fatty acids, hydrate the hair without making it difficult. The mixture of amino acids strengthens the hair and enables easier hair styling and gives it a healthy look. Panthenol and sodium PCA help retain water and prevent dehydration. The shampoo has a pH of 5.5.
The shampoo does not contain sulfates (or any stronger surfactants than those natural from coconut), which allows you to gently wash your hair with a little foam. Also, it does not contain artificial thickeners, so its texture is noticeably liquid.
Cocomino ™ Shine Shampoo contains a mixture of sweet almond oil and almond extracts, which give this formula a natural nutty scent that disappears quickly. It takes a little product and the manufacturer’s recommendation is one wash.
Ingredients: Water / Aqua / Eau, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Methyl Oleoyl Taurate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Coconut Alkanes, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Passiflora Edulis Seed Oil A, Plu Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Glycerin, Sodium PCA, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Panthenol, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Lactate, Equisetum Arvense Extract, PCA, Alanine, Arginine Histidine, Isoleucine, Phenylalalnine, Proline, Serine, Threonine, Valine, Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Extract, Citric Acid, Aspartic Acid, 4-Polyquaternium , Coco-Caprylate / Caprate, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Benzoate, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol.
The shampoo has a transparent and liquid texture that foams and rinses easily. It leaves the hair clean and after rinsing it is recommended to use balms. I insisted on one wash according to the instructions and that was enough for my medium length hair. When you start using DE hair care, you will first notice the feeling of perfectly clean hair and you will not feel any irritation of the scalp after washing and drying due to the clean composition (no artificial fragrances, alcohol, essential oils and aggressive sulfates). The disadvantage of the shampoo is its almond scent.

Cocomino ™ Marula Cream balm (hydrates and restores hair)
Formulated with a blend of amino acids for smoothing and hydrating, Cocomino ™ balm works against hair curling and electricity and gives hair shine. Lettuce butter and a nutritious blend of oils (including argan, mongoose seeds, baobabs, tamanua and kalahari melons) leave hair soft – not greasy or laid back.
Thanks to the pH value of 3.6 and the clean composition of Cocomino ™ Marula, the conditioner will not disturb the natural acidic shell of the scalp, nor cause the accumulations that we usually associate with silicones.
Ingredients: Water / Aqua / Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Diheptyl Succinate, Glycerin, Coconut Alkanes, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Butter, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Julate / Capco-Cap Seed Oil, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil, Schinziophyton Rautanenii Kernel Oil, Citrullme Lanatus Ximenia Americana Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Simmondsia Chinesis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Capryloyl Glycerin / Sebacic Acid Copolymer, Sodium PCA, Niacinamide, Panthecol, Acid Lact Epicola / Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil / Camellia Japonica Seed Oil / Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil / Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil / Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil Ferment E xtract Filtrate, Alanine, Arginine, Glycine, Histidine, Isoleucine, Phenylalanine, Proline, Serine, Threonine, Valine, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polyester-37, Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract, Aspartic Acid, Prunus Amygdatealus Extraulus, Prunus Amygdate Alus Tocopherol, Gluconolactone.
The balm has a milky and thick texture and a specific almond scent. I used it first, as well as most balms, because I always apply more than the recommended amount to my dry and semi-long hair. It is applied to clean hair, dried with a towel from its middle to the ends and left to act for about 10-15 minutes.
The hair is soft and smooth after rinsing, and the lack of balm, as well as shampoo, is its scent. I would recommend it for thin hair as it will not be nourishing enough for thicker hair and dry hair.

Wild Marula ™ Tangle spray (untangles hair and protects from hot air)
The light leave-in Wild Marula Nebula untangles the hair and allows the hair to be styled and given shine. Vegetable oils and silicone-free smoothing ingredients provide protection against heat.
Wild Marula ™ anti-tangle spray, hydrates and protects hair without a silicone film, which means there is no accumulation on the hair or scalp. With its strengthening amino acids and ingredients that hydrate and soothe, Wild Marula sprej spray can also help restore and hydrate dry scalp.
Wild Marula ag light spray contains a mixture of moisturizing sweet almond oil and almond extract, which gives this formula a natural nutty scent that soon disappears.
The spray should be shaken before use. Apply evenly on towel-dried or damp hair and comb. No need to rinse. After application, you will really lightly comb your hair and at the same time protect it from hot air from the hair dryer or hair straightener during further styling.
If you have thin hair, which is easily tangled and you are afraid of breaking your hair and damaging your hair every time you comb it, this is the product for you. It is possible that those with thicker hair will not notice this effect, however for us for thin and porous this is a great product.
The disadvantage, as with the entire line, is the smell and the fact that this bottle is quite small and you will consume it quickly.
