Drunk Elephant Hydration Serum

Tiffany Masterson, the founder of Drunk Elephant, started this brand wanting to create care products that she wanted to use herself, but could not find on the market. This is how the product line with the unusual name Drunk Elephant ™, the so-called clean compatible cosmetics, cosmetics without harmful ingredients and Suspicious 6 (essential oils, alcohol, silicone, perfumes, sulfates and chemical filters).
Trend clean cosmetics is growing in the world and more and more companies are opting to produce cosmetic products without harmful ingredients, using only a minimal number of natural ones and packing them in packaging that is recyclable and does not pollute the environment. The philosophy of the Drunk Elephant ™ brand, in addition to “pure” products, also lies in biocompatible ingredients. They use only non-irritating, small molecules that are easily absorbed and utilized by the skin.
Inspiration for the brand name Tiffany Masterson found in the story that elephants like to eat the fruits of the lettuce tree which ferment in their digestive system and cause a state similar to drunkenness. Lettuce oil is found in all Drunk Elephant products because the founder believes that it has no equal in skin care because it is rich in omega 3 and 6 acids and antioxidants that nourish and balance the skin.
Drunk Elephant B-Hydra® serum, according to the manufacturer, provides the skin with intensive hydration, renews and brightens it. Uniquely formulated with vitamin B5 (panthenol) and pineapple ceramides, this ultrahydrating gel attracts and retains moisture and restores the skin’s protective hydrolipid layer. Pineapple extract brightens the skin, while sodium hyaluronate provides moisture and fills in wrinkles.
The complex of watermelon, apple and lentil peel provides 24-hour hydration and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Barberry extract soothes, and sodium hyaluronate provides hydration and protects the skin from free radicals. Like any DE product, the serum contains lettuce oil which is rich in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. With a pH level of 5.5, the serum is ideal for all skin types.
Ingredients: Water / Aqua / Eau, Coconut Alkanes, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate / VP Copolymer, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil, Wheat Amino Acids, Pineapple Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Berberis Vulgarus Fruit Lanot Extract Extract, Lens Esculenta (Lentil) Fruit Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Coco-Caprylate / Caprate, Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Niacinamide, Cyclodextrin, Sodium Hyaluroxan, Hydrocyanine, Pidhen Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Ethylhexylglycerin.
The serum has a light, milky white texture that is quickly absorbed into the skin. It is not sticky or oily, it has a light creamy texture that does not leave a film on the skin. Since there is no perfume in the composition, which is always a huge advantage, there is no scent either.
In summer, self-administration is sufficient because the light texture of the serum is created for higher temperatures. In the colder period, I combined it in the evening with a few drops of lettuce oil, and in the morning I added moisturizer to it. I think this is the perfect serum for oily and combination skin, which I believe is enough to apply on its own. For dry or dehydrated skin, additional hydration should be introduced, especially in winter. In this case, supplement the care routine with moisturizer, serum or oil. It can also serve as the first serum, the ways of using this product are really numerous.
And don’t forget, exfoliate your skin regularly for better serum absorption.
It can also be used for the neck, décolleté, arms, elbows, ie wherever you feel that the skin lacks moisture.
The serum packaging (airless pump) prevents contamination of the product and maintains its freshness. I love packaging like this and it is always a big advantage for me when buying products.
