          DermEden anti-age night cream

          Nov 30 2020

In the DermEden Laboratory in Paris, a dermocosmetic product line – DermEden – has been developed since 2008 under the supervision of Dr. Bachot. The entire development and production of DermEden products takes place in France. The company focuses on innovation and research and DermEden products contain a high concentration of proven effective active ingredients in unique formulas. DermEden’s expertise is photoaging and treatment of hyperpigmentation.

DermEden night cream is part of the well-known DermEden night protocol, which in addition to the cream includes a serum, which precedes it and enhances its effect and care for the eye area. The night cream, which is DermEden’s bestseller, contains a combination of three types of hydroxy acids: glycolic, salicylic and dioic, and retinol, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. With the help of glycolic and salicylic acid, dead cells are removed from the surface of the skin and its regeneration is stimulated, thus acting to reduce hyperpigmentation. Hyaluronic acid in the composition moisturizes the skin and fills wrinkles, retinol in a concentration of 1% stimulates collagen production, and niacinamide, a derivative of vitamin B3, has a strong antioxidant and whitening effect.

In addition to glycolic and salicylic acid, which are well known and are often found in cosmetics, the cream also contains dioic acid, an organic compound added to acne-prone skin care products to reduce hyperpigmentation and dark spots on the skin. In acne formulas, it reduces sebum secretion and has a bactericidal effect, while in those intended for hyperpigmentation, such as this cream, it inhibits the production of melanin.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Coco Caprylate / Caprate, Niacinamide, Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone, Glycolic Acid, Undecane, Glyceryl Stearate, Tridecane, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate SE, PEG-100 Stearate, Dim , Perfume (Fragrance), Octadecenedioic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Polysorbate 20, Ceteareth-20, Cetyl Palmitate, Cocoglycerides, Ethylhexylglycerin, Chlorphenesin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate / Cymicrocyldehyde Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Disodium EDTA, Retinol, Sorbitan Isostearate, Polysorbate 60, T-Butyl Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, BHT.

It contains niacinamide, glycolic acid, glycerin, perfume, partial (Octadecenedioic Acid) and salicylic acid, retinol, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and sunflower seed oil.

It is applied in the evening on cleansed face, neck and décolleté. For enhanced action, the manufacturer recommends pre-application of an intensive night serum. During the day, use high sun protection due to possible photosensitivity of the skin after using products with acids and retinol. If you have sensitive skin, apply the cream gradually. The cream has a richer texture, like most night creams, but it spreads easily and absorbs quickly. At the beginning of use, I felt a slight burning sensation in the skin, but after a few days it completely disappeared. My skin is used to acids and a short light sting doesn’t bother me so I used it every night. If you have just started using acids, apply it 2-3 times a week until the skin gets used to it. I like the rich, nourishing texture of the cream and the fact that this cream really works because in the morning my skin was softer and more elastic and my complexion was cleaner and brighter.

Glycolic acid removed dead skin cells, salicylic acid cleansed pores, hyaluronic acid hydrated and smoothed the skin, and retinol and niacinamide brightened. Similar night creams on the market are Filorgina Sleep & Peel (HRK 520) which does not contain retinol and Dermalogicina Sound Sleep Cocoon with glycolic acid (HRK 602). Both are significantly more expensive than DermEden’s.

I will buy this cream again, especially for winter care because the composition for my mature, dry skin with occasional hyperpigmentation suits me perfectly.

You can buy DermEden products in selected pharmacies and web shops.
