Dermalogicin oil purifier

Dermalogica was among the first in “Western” cosmetics to launch oil for the so-called pre-cleaning. These are products that dissolve make-up, sebum, remnants of creams with spf, glue from artificial eyelashes … After their use, it is recommended to complete facial cleansing with gel. Today, almost every cosmetic house offers such products with an oil base, either liquid or in the texture of balms.
I have often written about the benefits of double cleansing for the skin here and everyone who reads the blog regularly knows that the introduction of this step of the routine has significantly improved my skin condition. The motto “double cleansing, double cleaner skin” proved correct in my example.
Dermalogicin Precleanse Balm, ie a pre-cleanser in the texture of balms, I first received as a gift in a 15 ml travel package. And that little package had a silicone sponge, and after I ran out of it, I decided to buy the original 90ml product size.
Ingredients: Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Laureth-4, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Ozokerite, Bis-Stearyl Dimethicone, Glyceryl Behenate, Tribehenin, Stearyl Stearate, Stearic Acid, Phospholipids, Prunus Gernia Armenia Soya (Soybean) Oil, Lavender Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Lavandula Hybridaa Oil, Glycol Diste / Sebacic Acid Copolymer Behenate, Tocopherol, Glycolipids, Eucalyptus Staigeriana Branch / Leaf Oil, Glycine Soy (Soybean) Sterols, Linalool, Citral, Limonene, Ethylhexyglycerin, Phenoxyethanol.
In addition to lipids (phospholipids and glycolipids), they contain apricot kernel oil, lavender, orange, grapefruit, mandarin and eucalyptus, as well as glycerin and vitamin E.
It is used by applying a small amount of balm on a sponge or dry hands and rubbing it into the dry skin of the face, including the area around the eyes, in a circular motion. The silicone sponge is gentle and you can do a light massage with it. After the make-up has dissolved, water is added and rinsed off.
The scent is quite intense due to the multitude of different essential oils in the composition. The product is relatively expensive and Dermalogica belongs to brands of a higher price range, but this tube will last you a really long time, certainly up to 6 months. The packaging states that the balm should be used within 12 months of opening.
This balm effectively removes make-up, rinses off relatively easily and leaves the skin soft. Although at first I was skeptical of the idea of rubbing my eyes with such a strong scented agent and sponge, it didn’t irritate my eyes, nor the skin of that area. The texture is thick and quite difficult to squeeze out of the tube.
According to the manufacturer, the balm is intended for normal and dry skin type, and can only be added to those who apply a lot of make-up. I used it just then, in the evening when I had more make-up and when I was doing double cleansing.
I have to admit that although the silicone sponge does not necessarily have to be used, to me it is precisely the accessory that has made it possible to get the most out of this product (apart from practicality).
The balm does not contain artificial fragrances and colors. The company does not test on animals and the products do not contain ingredients of animal origin.
