Biologique Recherche

Biologique Recherche is an exclusive French brand founded in the late 1970s in a family of skin care experts, biologists and physiotherapists Yvan and Josette Allouche. The brand’s business policy is interesting because they do not have large advertising campaigns (they prefer to invest in product development) and recommend individual skin counseling and analysis before buying. Biologique Recherche products are not available in well-known drugstore chains and perfumeries, but in selected aesthetic and medical institutions primarily due to a personalized approach.
Minimalist luxury packaging, word of mouth marketing, the Skin Instant © concept (skin changes over the course of months, weeks and days, to which it adapts) and highly concentrated active ingredients with proven effectiveness, some of which are somewhat controversial, make this brand world famous. They are present in more than 80 countries, and some products, such as BR lotion P50, have become cult. I recently wrote about him:

Biologique Recherche acted as a research and development laboratory, focusing exclusively on product formulation for professionals in the beauty industry who were disappointed with what was available. Rupert Schmid and Pierre-Louis Delapalme took over the leadership of Biologique Recherche in 2007, giving new development dynamics without losing originality. Dr. Philippe Allouche, the son of the founder, is also one of the people responsible for the development of Biologique Recherche, as he contributed to the company with his knowledge in the role of research and creative director. The thought that is still the main guiding principle of Biologique Recherche today is the preservation of the intellectual heritage of this family business. The philosophy that shapes Biologique Recherche is a fidelity to personalized methodology and products, while preserving authenticity and continuing to be innovative.
METAMORPHIC CREAM
Creme Metamorphique is intended for the care of mature and devitalized skin that has lost its firmness and structure. The cream is rich in revitalizing and protective ingredients and restructures the contours of the face, moisturizes the skin, suppresses the signs of premature aging and protects it from external harmful influences. It brightens the complexion and restores its natural glow.
Over time, the face loses tone and the contours relax. Creme Métamorphique, according to the manufacturer, helps to tone and revitalize the skin, while brightening the complexion. I bought the cream without prior consultation and analysis, which BR does not recommend, precisely because of the wide range on offer, and in the correct choice of which the advice of experts really comes in handy.
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Amniotic Fluid, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Polysorbate-40, Cetyl Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol, Peg-2 Stearate, Tea- Stearate, Embryo Extract, Papain, Hydrolyzed Gelatin, Capry , Alcohol Denat., P-anisic Acid, Sodium Dehydroacetate.
The composition of the cream is, to put it mildly, unexpected. In addition to some common ingredients, it contains amniotic fluid, ie amniotic fluid and embryo extract. Since I wanted to investigate the origin of these ingredients, I sent an inquiry to the distributor and within 24 hours I received a reply that the cream contains pork extracts, I guess this applies to both ingredients. I was unable to come up with a more detailed explanation, even after persistent research on the Internet. In response, I received information that the company is working on the development of a different formulation of Creme Metamorphique and that the new cream formula will not contain ingredients of animal origin. Amniotic fluid contains proteins, lipids, sugars and phospholipids, vitamins and minerals and hydrates the skin. Hydrolyzing gelatin is a protein that, like amniotic fluid, will act as a humectant. It also contains glycerin and papain (papaya enzyme) which exfoliates the skin, and the cream does not contain artificial fragrance.
The cream is effective, does what is stated, the texture is excellent, thick, and at the same time easily spreadable and hydrating, and immediately after application you feel the lifting effect and notice a uniform, lightened complexion. The manufacturer recommends that you apply it starting from the décolleté to the face. Using it on my own was not enough, because the cream is not nourishing enough for my dry skin, so I applied hyaluronic serum before that. Biologique Recherche advises to start each treatment with one of the versions of P50 lotion, then apply the appropriate serum and then the cream. With the next purchase, I will not skip the step of professional advice, I recommend it to you, because Biologique Recherche makes it different and successful.
What is problematic for me when using it is the discomfort I feel because of the listed ingredients. The price, like all products of this brand, is high.
I prefer vegan cosmetics and I am happy that Biologique Recherche is working on replacing animal ingredients with herbal ones.
