Avocado night mask for the care of the eye area

Glow Recipe night mask with avocado and retinol for eye care is the second product of this American brand that I have tried. The founders of the brand are two American women of Korean origin who want to bring the benefits of the well-known Korean care closer to women around the world with their products. I have already written about the Glow Recipe brand, specifically about their soothing and moisturizing banana cream.

Night face masks have been very popular in recent years, so it was only a matter of time before a night mask for the eye area would appear on the market. You can also use night masks, both for the face and the eyes, during the day.
Glow Recipe night mask with avocado and retinol, according to the manufacturer, with its encapsulated ingredients works during the night nourishing and whitening the skin, reducing fine lines and puffiness around the eyes.
The retinol in the composition always attracts my attention due to its strong and proven anti-aging effect, as well as avocado due to the fact that it has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, and soothes and nourishes the skin. The cream immediately seemed to me like a good blend of ingredients to care for that sensitive area.
In addition to encapsulated retinol (released gradually over time) which tightens and soothes these oils and avocado extract, it contains many other great ingredients: niacinamide, hyaluronic acid that hydrates and replenishes, coffee extract that stimulates microcirculation, shea butter, aloe vera, saffron oil , lavender extract and rosemary leaves. Hexylresorcinol in the composition acts to reduce hyperpigmentation and whitens dark under-eye circles.
However, the mask contains artificial fragrance and phenoxyethanol. On their website, they state that they do not use more than 0.5% of artificial fragrances, added only for a better sensory experience, and they are all tested without PCM (polycyclic musks) and linalool.
It is applied in the evening on cleansed skin, after cleansing and tonics, and before serums and / or creams so that a small amount of the mask is applied to the area around the eyes. The mask has a thick texture, but it spreads lightly and small amounts of products are enough. The mask is left to act overnight and rinsed off in the morning. You can also use it as a day mask, in the morning after waking up to reduce puffiness. Apply the mask and leave it on for about 10 minutes, then remove and apply sunscreen. The scent is fresh and fruity.
Immediately after application, a slight tightening of the skin is felt. Eye care creams always cause me anxiety because my eyes are sensitive, but this mask did not irritate my eyes at all. After a few days of application, the skin around the eyes is tighter and brighter, with less visible under-eye circles.
The manufacturer states that the mask also acts on milia, white small bumps on the face, similar to acne, which often appear in the area around the eyes because the skin is thin and sensitive and because the skin does not contain oil glands in that area. They are reportedly caused by excessive sun exposure and improper makeup removal. Retinol is one of the ingredients that has been proven to remove them, along with mild acids in chemical peels.
I have been faithful to eye cream for years, but this mask will surely take its place.
It is dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested and safe to use.
